The Trust for City Hall Plaza was established in 1995 to form a partnership with the City of Boston to assist in the revitalization of City Hall Plaza. The Trust has worked with the City to propose a dynamic revitalization program that would be funded by re venues generated by projects located in the Plaza. While the Trust remains committed to identifying private re venue sources, the continued progress of the Plaza’Äôs revitalization will rely on a combination of funding sources, and therefore the Trust has focused on identifying and leveraging government project opportunities in and around the Plaza. The results of this effort have been substantial and evident in the description of the public projects that are completed or underway with the assistance of the Trust as described in this Summary. The Trust will continue to search for other public and private revenue generating opportunities to help fund future Plaza initiatives.
